The Computer Science Department at the University of Makeni has really helped me reach where I am today. The Department provided good encouragement, not only towards academics but also co-curricular activities that help in developing skills that are important in the corporate world. The support from the teaching as well as the non-teaching staff was amazing. I will always be indebted towards the Computer Science department which has helped strengthen my basics in Computers, entrepreneurship, leadership and logical thinking ability

Having the opportunity to study Computer Science at the University of Makeni, Computer Science department is one of the most profound life-changing decisions I have ever made. With the increasing role technology is playing in all facets of the human experience from making the world more connected with the dawn of the Internet to mundane but ubiquitous applications that so take for granted. After spending over five years at the Computer Science department, which is the beacon of academic excellence, both in the capacity of a student and Research Teaching Assistant, that pride itself with a vibrant community of curious and empathetic minds.

The Computer Science Department is the Inspiration that drives my everyday aspirations. Knowing what IT can do, learning the tools that matters, interfacing with friends of different skills has given us the power to solve problems in our Nation easily. I am excessively grateful to God for the years spent there, it is my hope that it will be an inspiration to others for years to come. It is safe to say that the Computer Science Department is my home. In the next 10 years I am so certain that the department would have a lot of people making impact not only in Sierra Leone but Africa as a whole.
